The Thermos, Our Talisman

Updated: Dec 30, 2019

Losing estrogen is a natural occurrence. Maybe that’s why our mothers didn’t talk about it. Maybe they wanted to spare us the details. Maybe they were just as confused as we are. Menopause is not a disease, but it can sure feel like one.

Introducing the Thermos. It is a lot like us. It provides warmth and shares well with others. The cup has soothed heartaches and cheered on many occasions. Through its travels, Thermos has suffered falls and sports many dents, but that is precisely why we keep it. Each fall, each dent, is a story…a story that gives it charm, uniqueness, and strength. Through this blog, we will share experiences that will help us sit back and pause. We can share a coffee, a laugh, a cry and remind ourselves that we are enough. Being vulnerable is strength - not weakness. How you feel should be honoured. So fill your cup and share a story. Our journey begins.

If you would like to share your story please email Dear Thermos,

All entries will be read and some will be posted with permission.
